Jakarta – Witness named Andhika Anjaresta revealed the existence of the code ‘Paus’ when the former Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Edhy Prabowo asked to buy a Rolex Yacht Master II Yellow Gold watch through his personal secretary, Amiril Mukminin. What does it mean?
Andhika is a civil servant of the Directorate General of Marine Spatial Management of the KKP. He testified in an export bribery case lobster seeds alias fry with the defendant Director of PT Dua Putera Perkasa Pratama (PT DPPP), Suharjito.
Andhika said that he was asked by Amiril to buy a Rolex Yacht Master II Yellow Gold watch. Amiril calls the clock ‘Pope’.
“I got voice note from Amiril when it was opened it said, ‘Bang please find a Rolex’. Then I asked ‘What is a Rolex?’, ‘Clock’ he said. Then the pictures are sent. I asked ‘for whom?’. Then (answered) ‘for’ the Pope ‘(said Amiril), “said Andhika in a hearing at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Jalan Bungur Besar Raya, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (17/3/2021).
“The Pope, the minister? ‘Yes for the Minister.’ I forgot he said the Minister, but that’s for the Pope,” he added.
Presiding judge Albertus Usada confirmed the meaning of the code ‘Pope’. Andhika also stated that the meaning of ‘Pope’ is Edhy Prabowo.
“Is this the pope, Mr. Minister?” asked the chief judge.
“Minister, sir. The code is ‘pope’, sir,” Andhika replied.
Andhika, who at that time was about to return to Indonesia from Dubai, admitted that he did not have the chance to buy a Rolex watch according to Amiril’s request. He finally got to know Amiril to someone from the Indonesian Consulate named Yosi Aprizal.
Finally, Yosi found Amiril’s watch. Andhika said Yosi had found the Rolex Yacht Master II Yellow Gold watch Amiril requested for Rp. 700 million according to the catalog. Knowing that, Amiril then announced that he would look for the money first.
“In the end, I didn’t understand where it was at the airport or where. Then at that time the catalog cost Rp. 700 million,” he said.
After getting the money, Amiril again notified Andhika. The witness said that Amiril returned to using the code ‘leaves for the yellow one’. The judge again confirmed the meaning of the code and Andhika replied that it was the money for the Rolex watch.
“Amiril said later I would look for the money first. A few days later Amiril, said ‘the leaves are there for the yellow’,” said Andhika.
“What does ‘leaves for the yellow one’ mean?” asked the judge.
“We mean the money to pay for Rolex is already there,” he replied.
Amiril finally transferred the money to Andhika through his staff named Dwi Kusuma Wijaya. Yosi then took the watch to Jakarta, but the Rolex watch was stuck at Customs.
“Then Yosi said, ‘I am on the 25th or how much I want to go to Jakarta for family matters’, I forgot. On that date I was brought back to Yosi but the goods were held by Customs and Excise,” he explained.
Andhika was asked by the prosecutor about the money Amiril transferred. He said the money paid was Rp. 740 million.
“As far as I remember, Rp. 730 or Rp. 740 million,” said Andhika.
In this trial the accused was the Director of PT DPPP Suharjito. He was charged with giving bribes to Edhy Prabowo, who was then Minister of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. The prosecutor said Suharjito gave Edhy Rp 2.1 billion in bribes related to the export of fries.
The prosecutor said that the bribe was given to Edhy through the special staff of the minister of KKP Safri and Andrau Misanta Pribadi, then Edhy’s Personal Secretary named Amiril Mukminin, and Ainul Faqih as the personal staff of Edhy Prabowo’s wife Iis Rosita Dewi, and Commissioner of PT Perishable Logistics Indonesia (PT PLI) as well The founder of PT Aero Citra Kargo (PT ACK), Siswadhi Pranoto Loe. The bribe was given so that Edhy could speed up the licensing of lobster seed cultivation to PT DPP.
Suharjito was accused by KPK prosecutors of violating Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or Article 13 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes as amended by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes juncto Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
