The American rock band from New York will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, and will therefore go on tour. This will be their last tour, and has been aptly named ‘The End Of The Road’.
On July 15, the tour will visit the Slottsfjell festival grounds in Tønsberg, writes Live Nation in a press release.
– KISS are a legendary band that always offers more show and pyro than anyone else. When they also have a catalog of countless hits, everything is set for a concert that will go down in the history books, Martin Nielsen tells Live Nation, and continues:
– The band loves Norway, and now that they are celebrating their 50th anniversary with a few last concerts, it is with great joy and pride that we welcome them to Tønsberg.
At the same time, the organizer promises several artists on stage and a full evening, and they report that the concert will be the biggest that has ever taken place in Tønsberg.
KISS actually started their latest world tour in 2019, but the pandemic has effectively cut it short. Now Norwegians can see them live 50 years after they played their first concert in New York.
– Everything we’ve built and everything we’ve conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people around the world who have filled clubs, arenas and stadiums. This will be the last celebration for those who have already seen us, and the last opportunity for those who haven’t, says KISS of the farewell.
