An embarrassing concert finale starred Kiss on their way through Vienna, Austria, where they fired their audience with a message that confused the local flag with the Australian emblem.
The incident occurred over the weekend at the Wiener Stadthalle, where the quartet shared a logo on giant screens with the legend “Kiss Loves You Vienna” (Kiss loves you Vienna), accompanied by the Australian flag instead of the Austrian one.
The photos and videos have gone viral in the last few hours on social networks, where the mockery of the American community multiplies.
According to reports cited by the portal BlabblermouthAfter the appearance of the unexpected poster, laughter abounded among the more than 9,000 fans who left the venue at that point.
“Americans and Geography!”, “Kiss played Austria tonight”, “Brilliant!”were some of the ironic virtual reactions caused by the gesture, of which the band still does not refer comments.
These days, Kiss says goodbye to the stage through the world tour “End Of The Road”the same one that last April presented two shows in Chile at Movistar Arena.
For now, the group is getting ready to continue with the European leg of the tour, which will run until the end of July. In August (now yes) it will be Australia’s turn and then the North American festivals will come. The end of the tour, and with it the retirement, is scheduled for 2023, the year that marks half a century since the formation of the band.
