King Willem-Alexander back in the Netherlands after a day in Greece, Prime Minister Rutte: “Made an error of judgment”

A few hours after landing in Greece, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima announced that they would end their journey and return to the Netherlands. “We see the reactions of people to reports in the media. And they are intense, and they affect us,” said the royal couple.

Because the government plane had already left for the Netherlands by then, they flew back a day after their arrival with a Boeing 737 from KLM. It landed yesterday at 8:01 pm at Schiphol airport, NOS reports. A little after 9 p.m. the family arrived by car at Huis ten Bosch palace.
