Kim Jong Un’s commotion apologizes, this is the reaction of the South Korean president

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – North Korean Leader (North Korea) Kim Jong Un reportedly apologized to the President of South Korea (South Korea) Moon Jae In and citizens of the country of Ginseng last weekend. The apology was due to the death of a South Korean civil servant at the hands of North Korean soldiers.

He was shot while trying to enter mainland North Korea from the water. His body was said to have been burned by the army of the Hermit country.

South Korean President Moon Jae In also responded to this. He said there was a ‘special’ meaning in Kim Jong Un’s apology for this case.

“It is unprecedented and very unusual to apologize immediately and directly as the supreme leader of North Korea,” he was quoted as saying by the news agency. Yonhap, Monday (28/9/2020).


He also expressed his condolences regarding this incident. He called it a regrettable and unfortunate incident.

“Regardless of how the victim went to North Korean waters, I extend my deep condolences and comfort to family members who mourn their grief,” he was quoted as saying. Yonhap.

“Tragedy should not have happened even though the peninsula was divided,” he said again while apologizing to South Koreans, saying that the government should protect the safety and security of the people in all circumstances.

Previously, staff from the South Korean Ministry of Fisheries were missing Monday (21/9/2020). He is said to be swimming with a buoy on the border of South Korea and North Korea.

North Korea admits that its border guards fired more than 10 shots at the South Korean staff, whom they called “infiltrators”. But North Korea denied South Korea’s announcement that it had burned her body.

In an official Pyongyang notification sent to Seoul, Kim said he was “very sorry” about the incident. He called the event “unwanted and unpleasant.”

“This shows that Kim takes this case seriously and is also a confirmation of his wish that inter-Korean relations will not lead to collapse,” said Moon again.

He stressed the need to find the truth behind the incident and look for “substantive” ways to prevent such cases from recurring. Moon said the two Koreas must dialogue and cooperate.

“I hope we can revive the embers of dialogue and pave the way for cooperation that begins with solving this case (together),” said Moon.

In June North Korea cut ties between the two countries by blowing up a liaison office on the border. This happened after the Pyongyang rebels in South Korea sent anti-government leaflets at the border.
