JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV -North Korean leader Kim Jong-un considers K-Pop culture a threat to the younger generation of his people.
He called K-Pop culture a malignant cancer that will corrupt the clothes, hairstyles, speech and attitudes of the younger generation of North Korea.
Quoted from the New York Post, state media have warned that if left unchecked, K-Pop culture will destroy North Korea like a damp wall.
As is known, K-Pop is a type of music from South Korea whose popularity has increased over the past decade.
Although liked by many people around the world, the appeal of K-Pop does not seem to apply to North Korea led by Kim Jong Un.
This is not the first time Kim Jong Un ordered his government to curb the invasion of South Korean culture and eliminate South Korean entertainment sources such as K-Drama and K-Pop.
