Kim Feenstra, who is currently expecting her first child, has no plans to share recognizable photos of her baby when he or she is born. In conversation with Grazia tells the model that she and her friend Stanley Tailor have decided this together.
“Stan and I sometimes talk about it: when the little one is born, are we going to show photos? Actually, we both say: No, not necessary,” said 35-year-old Feenstra. “Maybe a hand or a foot or some hair … but certainly not the first year.”
The model, which previously came second in the photography competition The Perfect Picture, is active as a photographer and plans to take many photos of her son or daughter. “There are probably also many beautiful pictures that you would like to share with the whole world. But no, the baby is still like that. precious.“
Feenstra finds it “vulnerable and private” to put these images on social media. “I have colleagues and people in my circle of friends who have just given birth and who have their child on Instagram. Everyone has to know for themselves, and I get it, because you are very proud and you want everyone to see and know and hear. Only we choose to keep our baby under the radar for a while. “
The model revealed in her reality series Life Of Kim that she and her partner struggled to conceive naturally. She later announced that she wanted to start an IVF process. She thinks that this is still a taboo and hopes that through her openness about her situation, she can support other couples who are experiencing the same.
Feenstra and 38-year-old Tailor have been in a relationship since 2016. At the end of May she announced that she was pregnant, the model does not want to tell when she is due.
