Kickers Offenbach: contract extension – OFC binds next professional

Kickers Offenbach has tied the next player to the club beyond the summer.

Offenbach – The OFC is pushing ahead with his personnel planning for the coming season. As the club now announced, the contract with the center-back was Lucas Albrecht extended. Originally, the working paper was valid until June 20, 2020. The parties have agreed not to disclose the modalities. But it is certain that the fans of Kickers Offenbach continue to look forward to the 1.93-meter defense lines.

OFC: Lucas Albrecht stays with Kickers Offenbach

The now 29-year-old was born in Neubrandenburg and trained in the youth division of 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04 before joining Hansa Rostock’s U19. For the 2010/11 season, he made the leap into the professional squad, completed 26 missions in the 3rd division for the Hanseatic League and finally celebrated promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. In the following season, however, he received little attention from the professionals and was mainly active for the reserve team. In the 2nd Bundesliga he only played seven games. Rostock got off again, but Albrecht remained loyal to the club in the 3rd division. For the 2013/14 season, he then moved on to SV Babelsberg, who played in the Regionalliga Nordost.

He moved to Hessen for the first time in 2016 when he joined Hessen Kassel, then at home in the Regionalliga Südwest. After two strong years, in which the central defender also proved his danger of scoring Kickers Offenbach on Lucas Albrecht attentive and brought him to the Main. So far, he has worn the shirt in 38 competitive games Kickers Offenbach and more will be added next season. Thomas Sobotzik, managing director of OFC, comments on the contract extension of Lucas Albrecht: “‘Albi’ fits both athletically and humanly to our playing style and philosophy and is also very well recognized as a personality among his team-mates.”

Next Albrecht Moritz Reinhard and Jakob Lemmer’s contracts were also extended. In addition, some new faces will appear at the OFC, because the club has been very active on the transfer market so far. Marco Fritscher (1. FC Schweinfurt 05), Malte Karbstein (SV Werder Bremen II) and Marcell Sobotta (Sportfreunde Lotte) are new additions Kickers Offenbach reinforce in the coming season.
