Actress Yekaterina Kovalchuk, to whom some are credited with having an affair with comedian Garik Kharlamov, explained on Instagram why she will not be in the third season of the popular Ukrainian TV series “Serf”. Instead, it turned out that the lead role was taken by the star of “Silver Skates” Sonia Priss.
“I didn’t refuse filming. On the contrary, I really wanted to present you with the continuation of Katerina’s story. But besides my desire, there are many other factors that prevented this. To my great regret, the lack of agreement between the parties, and not my personal “unwillingness”, led to this result.

As Kovalchuk noted, it’s not politics at all, as some people thought. She was allegedly in Crimea and therefore she was replaced. According to the actress, she never went to the peninsula. She also wished good luck to the Silver Skates star Sofia Priss, who will play her role.
The Serf series is a costumed television drama. The premiere took place in February 2019 on the Ukrainian channel STB. Shooting of the third and fourth seasons is currently underway. They will be shown on television in 2021.
