UFC lightweight class champion Khabib Nurmagomedov congratulate Dustin Poirier after winning over Dan Hooker in UFC Vegas 4, Sunday (6/28) Indonesian time.
Poirier defeated Hooker by winning an absolute number. Three judges awarded Poirier a score of 48-47, 48-47, and 48-46.
The 31-year-old fighter has an outstanding performance against the Hooker and is said to be the best fight so far in 2020.
The victory was the first for the United States fighter after losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov in the race for the UFC lightweight title, September 2019.
Poirier’s slick performance received a lot of praise from fellow fighters, not apart from Khabib who defeated him through submission in the third round of UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi.

“Congratulations Dustin Poirier, a great battle,” Khabib said via Twitter, quoted from RT.
A winning number over Hooker is seventh in Poirier’s career in mixed martial arts, or sixth at the UFC.
Besides Khabib, other UFC fighters also congratulated The Diamond, nickname Poirier. Even welterweight UFC fighters who are also former BMF champions rate the Poirier vs. Hooker duels at UFC Vegas as the best this year.
“It’s a great fight. It might be the best fight of the year. I think Poirier deserves that,” said Masvidal.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier also reacted to Poirier’s achievements.
“Good job Dustin! Diamond forever. Owned Lafayette. Parker’s father, good job my brother,” said Cormier.
