Tomáš Brzobohatý, Petr Kellner’s elite lawyer and long-time close associate, who was present at all important PPF Group stores, is leaving PPF’s management. The company announced this on its website.
Experienced dealmaker Tomáš Brzobohatý at the end of March, he will resign from the position of a member of the PPF Group’s management committee and will no longer be a member of its management, the company said in the statement. His main project at the head of PPF was merger of bank assets PPF with Moneta Bank. And it was successful.
Brzobohatý joined PPF’s formal leadership temporarily in April last year, following the tragic death of Petr Kellner. He played a key role in stabilizing the group’s management, which was successfully taken over by the current CEO Ladislav Bartoníček and his team.
“Tomas is one of the people who, with his intellectual commitment, is fundamental formed the business DNA of the entire PPF group. However, I understand his decision to address other priorities in the coming years and I believe that in the future we will continue to cooperate on some projects, “commented Brzobohatý on the departure of Bartoníček.

The management of selected investment projects will be taken over by the Frenchman Didier Stoessel, who has been managing the media company CME Media Enterprises for the last two years and will continue to hold this position.

Brzobohatý himself commented on his departure from the group. “PPF will always belong to my professional life. I have friends here and the years of our mutual cooperation have given me a lot of experience and joy. The Balkan Peninsula has lured one of PPF’s largest domestic investment groups to another media acquisition. Through the company CME, which it owns, it agreed to buy the commercial television station RTL Hrvatska, for 50 million euros, ie over 1.2 billion crowns. Among other things, CME owns the most watched commercial station Nova in the Czech Republic.

Last year, Moneta Money Bank increased its net profit by 53 percent to CZK 3.98 billion. The bank said it improved its results due to higher net interest income, stable operating costs and lower risk costs. In December, shareholders agreed to join the PPF banking division, including the method of settling the transaction.
