Keith Yandle is no longer in the Panthers’ plans

It looks like the Florida Panthers don’t want defenseman Keith Yandle anymore.

According to TSN, the organization reportedly told the 34-year-old that he was no longer a part of their plans and was going to be left out despite being healthy in several games in 2020. -2021.

Yandle, who is one of the Panthers’ assistants to the captain, has a contract valid for three more seasons. His agreement earns him $ 6.35 million annually and includes a full no-trade clause.

In particular, this ensures that the Panthers cannot place his name on waivers.

In the last campaign, Yandle had five goals and 40 assists for 45 points in 69 games. He also provided three assists in four playoffs. Currently, the fullback has the longest active streak on the Bettman Tour, having been in uniform for the last 866 games for the teams he played for.

The Panthers were to begin their 2020-2021 campaign by facing the Dallas Stars twice, next Thursday and Friday. Those games have been postponed, however, due to a COVID-19 outbreak in Texas training. The Florida club will therefore play its first game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday.
