Kehl, Offenburg, Baden-Baden: Federal police seize prohibited items – control and search measures in the border area with France

As part of the intensified control and search measures in the border area with France, officials of the Federal Police
several prohibited items secured.

In the vehicle of a 22-year-old French man who was checked in the Kehl urban area last night, the officers found two gas pistols without the required weapon-related marking.

Another French national, who was also checked in the Kehl urban area, had a prohibited telescopic baton within reach in the vehicle.

During the inspection yesterday evening on a train between Offenburg and Kehl, a one-hand knife was seized from a 21-year-old German.

A 36-year-old Turkish national who was checked in the Baden-Baden train station also had a forbidden one-hand knife with him. Since he did not want to give it up voluntarily, it was confiscated.

All persons received reports of violations of the weapons law.
