The As Mariñas and Terras do Mandeo Biosphere Reserve promotes a new tourism product that mixes the navigable attractiveness of the estuary of Betanzos with the gastronomy of the area, the “Descenso del Mandeo”.
It will not be a pilgrimage of the style Caneiros, not a sporting event like the descent of the Eume, but a product for anyone who wants to know the nature of the environment from a different perspective. On board a kayak we will travel the coast, a sport with a prize, since the objective is also to enjoy the gastronomy. Kayak from Sada and Miño to Betanzos, for example, to eat octopus.
José Antonio Santiso, president of the Terras do Mandeo Biosphere Reserve, clarifies what the route will be like: “We will pass on the back of the Mandeo River, it will not be a pilgrimage but they will be able to observe the landscape and eat”
