Katie Taylor remains unbeaten: Spanish boxer also gets the ax | Boxing

3 months after her victory over Delfine Persoon, Katie Taylor faced Miriam Gutierrez. The 37-year-old Spanish had not yet lost a single professional camp (13-0). That changed last night.

Gutierrez couldn’t find an answer to Taylor’s speed from the bell. At the end of the 4th round, Taylor floored her opponent with a right-left combination.

In the end Gutierrez – like Persoon – lasted 10 rounds, but the score clearly spoke in favor of Taylor. 100-89, 100-90 and 99-91 was on the jury’s cards.

In the past 5 years, Taylor has not lost a single professional camp (17-0). Delfine Persoon came close twice, but just failed to outperform the Irish.
