Kathy Hochul to Sign Parole Reform Act Amid Rikers Island Crisis, Reportedly | Univision 41 New York WXTV

Hochul will travel to his Manhattan offices on Friday to sign the “Less is More” Act, according to the New York Post. The law would prevent people from being re-incarcerated for technical and non-criminal probation violations, such as missing a curfew or being late for an appointment with a probation officer, which could lead to the release of hundreds of Rikers inmates locked up for these types of rapes.
