Kassim Abdallah (MGFC) “This National 2 championship is very tough” • Actufoot • Pro / amateur football news

Kassim, you started your career at US Marignane, how did you feel about your return?

It makes me happy and good. There is a lot of nostalgia for this time when I was starting out as a senior. I liked this return and I was very well received by the team, the staff and the former members of the club that I knew when I was evolving here. It gives me great pleasure.

What do you think you bring to this group?

I have some experience that can help us in the field. There is also my joy of living, in reality it is a whole.

What condition are you in before approaching this meeting?

We are very well, we had a good preparation. The group lives well with a good atmosphere. We will try to go scratch points there. We are physically and mentally ready to start this championship in the best possible way.

What are your goals in this championship?

Honestly, this National 2 championship is very tough. We are not leaving with ambitions to climb or anything, we will just try to play our card. There are teams that have a bigger budget than ours, we are aware of that. We are not afraid of that and we’ll see what happens. It is too early to start claiming anything, but we will play with less pressure than the teams who have the goal of climbing.

The first match against Martigues was canceled because of a positive case, is it a big blow?

No, it didn’t change our state of mind. We wanted to play this match and we were waiting for it after long months of hiatus. It was canceled and it was hard to take but that doesn’t change anything, we remain focused to perform well against Rumilly this weekend.

Are you worried that the Covid could still pose problems this season?

We’re pretty confident. Everyone is now familiar with this. There will surely be surprises but it will be better to manage than last season. We especially hope that there will not be a total stoppage of the championship.

What type of meeting do you expect against GFA Rumilly Vallières?

All away matches are complicated. We don’t expect an easy match against a good team. The coach was able to go see them and we expect a close match but we are ready.
