Karol G shone at the 2022 Tu Música Urbano Awards, she was the most awarded artist

In the last few hours, the third edition of the Your Urban Music Awards 2022 at the Puerto Rico Coliseum, in which the Colombian artist Karol G was the star of the night taking nine awards. This event is very representative for the paisa’s career since it surpassed artists such as Bad Bunnyone of those who received the most nominations in this version of the awards.

Though Karol G was the most awarded artist, the night stood out for female representationsince after Bichota, the most awarded were his colleagues Becky G and Maria Becerra each with three awards.

For its part, Daddy Yankee, who is recognized as The Boss of reggaeton and who recently announced his retirement from music, won the Top Male Artist, Top Urban Pop Song awards for “X last time” and Male Artist Album of the Year for “Legendaddy.” While Bad Bunny, currently the most internationally recognized urban artistled the list of artists with twelve nominations, but only got two, as did J Balvinwhich also had more than 10 nominations.

The success of Karol G is reflected in his most recent concert in Mexicowhere he managed to go on stage to sing to the former RBD Anahí after more than 15 years. After that, the Colombian artist announced that, for the first time, her live show will reach European lands.

The paisa will be in the Diversity Valencia Festivalwhich will be done from July 21 to 23 in the emblematic City of Arts and Sciences, an architectural and cultural complex in the city of Valencia, Spain.
