Kariņš calls on the Minister of the Interior Sandis Ģirģens (KPV LV) and the Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development Juris Pūcis (AP) to follow the control over the restrictions over the weekend in Aglona and Riga, where the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the city festival take place.
“Although the epidemiological situation in Latvia is currently satisfactory, given the prevalence of Covid-19 in the world and the increase in morbidity in Europe, I call on every citizen to be responsible and follow expert advice and government restrictions to reduce the spread of coronavirus,” the prime minister emphasized.
Kariņš calls on the Ministers of the Interior, Environment and Regional Development, who are responsible for controlling the spread of Covid-19, to closely monitor the situation and, if necessary, to take immediate action to protect public health.
