The head of the Karawang DPRD, Pendi Anwar, supports the dismissal of DPR RI member Arteria Dahlan. He conveyed this in front of the protesters who were gathered in the Sunda Karawang Ngalawan Movement in front of the Karawang DPRD Office.
“I am a Sundanese, as a representative of the people, I also support that Arteria Dahlan should be fired because he has hurt all Sundanese people,” said Pendi when pressured by the mass protestors to give their response, Friday (21/1/2022).
During the action, the person in charge of the action, Nace Permana, said that Arteria’s controversial words offended the Sundanese people.
“Arteria Dahlan conveys as if Sundanese is likened to a terrorist who should not be used in meeting environments. So we convey what Arteria Dahlan said is a crime that has the potential to divide ethnic groups, remember there is no Indonesia without Sundanese people,” Nace said in his speech on the command car.
He considered that the Sundanese people were not just a tribe, but also a part of the Republic of Indonesia.
“Then arrest, fire and imprison Arteria Dahlan,” said Nace, who was greeted by screams from the crowd.
Monitoring detikcom, Hundreds of Sundanese from Karawang with their trademark tickets carried banners with the words “PAW Arteria Dahlan” and “Save Kajati Jabar”. The waves of orations protesting against Arteria Dahlan continued to be echoed.
In addition, dozens of security personnel from the TNI and Polri were seen standing guard behind the gate of the Karawang DPRD office. Until this news was written, the DPRD Karawang has not come to the masses who are demonstrating.
