Kansas City / Santa Clara – The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers have reached the final in the National Football League. The 49ers prevailed against the Green Bay Packers in the second semi-final on Sunday (local time) with 37:20 (27: 0). Previously, the chiefs had lived up to their favorite role in the 35:24 (21:17) home win over the Tennessee Titans. The Super Bowl final will be held in Miami on the night of February 3 (CET).
Following the undisputed success in Santa Clara, California, the 49ers are in the final for the first time in seven years and are reaching for their sixth trophy. The most recent success was a Super Bowl triumph in 1995. For San Francisco, Raheem Mostert was particularly convincing with 220 yards completed and four touchdowns. Star quarterback Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers, on the other hand, did not develop as usual, the guests remained without points until the break and were already 0:27 behind at this point.
KC is in the final for the third time
Kansas City previously ended the run of the Titans. The previous surprise team from Nashville had eliminated defending champions New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens in the previous rounds. After 1967 and 1970, KC made its third final appearance. After the home side quickly passed 0:10, the chiefs stabilized and adjusted better to the runs of Titans running back Derrick Henry.

Before the break, the home side went for the first time after a stroke of genius by quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The 24-year-old was unstoppable despite the distress and completed a 27-yard run to take a break. In the final quarter, two more touchdowns decided the game, though Tennessee never gave up.
