Kalafatis ended it at the Institutions Committee: “The opposition terrorizes prosecutors and society” – 2024-08-04 00:37:34

by Ethan Caldwell

During the meeting of the Parliament’s Committee on Institutions and Transparency, the secretary of the ND Committee, Stavros Kalafatis, called all the opposition MPs who are requesting to summon the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Georgia Adelini, and the competent deputy prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Achilleas, political terrorists. Zisis, to present and give explanations on the conclusion about the wiretapping.

“A kind of intimidation of judicial officials, society and public opinion is being attempted,” said Mr. Kalafatis.

He also accused the minority of a “hypocritical attitude” towards the decisions of justice because they want “ours, ours, and yours, ours”.

“If the judicial acts serve our own narrative, then everything is well done. If not, then we are attacking justice” he added, characterizing this practice as impermissible because “if we let this happen, we will go down another path for democracy”.
