Islamic State (ISIS) militants in Afghanistan are planning a series of attacks on Kabul airport, CNN reported, citing Pentagon sources.

According to CNN sources, US intelligence has information that the fighters have the capacity and plan to carry out multiple attacks.
Recently, US intelligence has reported a stream of threats from extremists.
Fears have escalated after some 100 Daesh fighters escaped from two prisons in Afghanistan during a Taliban offensive in Kabul.
CNN emphasizes that the members of the Daesh branch are the sworn enemies of the Taliban.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden noted that Daesh fighters were looking for an opportunity to launch attacks on US forces and their allies in Afghanistan.
