Madrid „Real“ club in UEFA Champions League quarter-finals after overtime in overall result 5 – 4 beat London „Chelsea“ footballers and won a ticket to the semifinals.

• Real advanced to the next round nine out of ten previous times after winning their first match at a rivalry.

• The winner of the Chelsea and Real pair will face Manchester City or Atletico in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

• It will be recalled that UEFA has abolished the away goal rule. This means that the goal scored in the rivals’ fortress does not provide an additional advantage.
