K-19 explosion and catastrophic growth of new infected and dead in our country

3,471 people were newly diagnosed with COVID-19 in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, of which 1,171 were detected by PCR and 2,300 by rapid antigen tests. 84.44% of the new cases detected in the last 24 hours are of persons who have not been vaccinated, according to the Unified Information Portal – COVID-19.

Thus, the number of new K-19 infected began to approach the terrible numbers of the first waves in December 2020 and April 2021.

The tests performed for the past 24 hours are a total of 23,480. Of these, 5,329 are PCR and 18,151 are antigenic. This is shown by the data in the National Information System. The total number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Bulgaria is 524,333. Of these, 51,858 are active, and the cured persons are 450,662, 1,862 of which were registered in the last 24 hours.

A total of 5,505 patients with a proven coronavirus infection are hospitalized. 472 of them are accommodated in intensive care units or clinics.

The number of new patients in a hospital is 907, of which 90.63% have not been vaccinated, according to the Unified Information Portal.

The doses of the COVID-19 vaccines administered in our country so far are a total of 2,593,879. Of these, 5,166 have been administered in the last 24 hours.

According to the National Information System in our country, the new coronavirus has been confirmed in 14,827 medical staff. 41 new cases have been registered in the past 24 hours, of which 17 have been identified by doctors, 4 – by nurses, 7 – by nurses, 1 – by a paramedic and 12 – by other medical staff.

21,813 deaths were diagnosed with coronavirus infection. 157 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours. 92.99% of the deceased were not vaccinated.
