Juventus raises young Swede Kulusevski for a maximum of 44 million euros NOW

Dejan Kulusevski signed a contract with Juventus until mid-2024 on Thursday. The nineteen-year-old midfielder comes over from Atalanta, although he will also play with Parma on a rental basis in the second half of the season.

Juventus pays no less than 35 million euros in five installments for Kulusevski, an amount that can be increased by bonuses to a maximum of 44 million euros.

This makes the Swede the second most expensive soccer player born in this century. In the summer of 2018, Real Madrid transferred 45 million euros to the Brazilian Flamengo for Vinícius Júnior, who, like Kulusevski, was born in 2000.

Kulusevski left 3.5 years ago from Swedish Brommapojkarna to Atalanta, where he made his Series A debut in early 2019 as a substitute for Marten de Roon.

The singular international of Sweden only came to three duels for the club from Bergamo, which rented it out to Parma for a year last summer. With the current number seven of the Serie A he makes a great impression with four goals and two assists in seventeen league games.

Kulusevski will not play with Matthijs de Ligt for the time being. He will continue to play at Parma on a rental basis for the next six months, Juventus reports on his site.
