The damage was estimated at € 300,000. A man was sentenced to three years in prison on Thursday for stealing 43 pallets of champagne from a company in Bonneuil-sur-Marne, Val-de-Marne, on June 16.

“Three men broke into a warehouse and loaded 43 pallets of champagne into a semi-trailer using a handling machine,” the prosecution said.
These men tried to cancel their passage on the spot by sprinkling fire extinguisher powder. Except that the traces left on this fire extinguisher made it possible to identify “a genetic profile”, the prosecution continues.
Already several sentences
The suspect is “a 31-year-old man from Seine-Saint-Denis, who has already been convicted several times for violence and traffic offenses,” notes the prosecution.
Arrested Monday by Val-de-Marne territorial security police officers, he admitted the facts during Thursday’s immediate appearance hearing, refusing to “appoint his co-authors for fear of reprisals.”
He was sentenced to four years of imprisonment, including one year with suspended probation for two years, accompanied by a postponement warrant.
