JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Deputy Chief of Police of the Republic of Indonesia, Commissioner General of Police Gatot Eddy Pramono, threatened to remove the regional head of the Police who did not carry out Covid-19 prevention activities.
The Deputy Chief of Police conveyed this during a visit to the Metro Jaya Regional Police Headquarters, Wednesday (12/8/2020).
“I said if there is a police chief who does not carry out activities, be it in community disciplinary activities or other activities in order for us to cut transmission from Covid-19. Yes, just replace the police chief,” said Gatot.
Komjen Gatot added that higher positions, such as Chief of the Resort Police (Kapolres) and Head of Regional Police (Kapolda), would also be removed if they did not do the same.
“If later the Kapolres also works not seriously, without the Kapolda, just report it, we will change the Chief of Police”, concluded the Deputy Chief of Police.
