A 20-year-old young woman from Burgundy died on Sunday morning after falling from ski in the Rousses station, in the Jura Mountains, we learned this Monday, January 27 from firefighters and the gendarmerie.
This beginner skier, who was according to the local press on an easy track, classified green
, left for an as yet undetermined reason.
She was not wearing a helmet and her head struck a stone when she fell, said the gendarmerie. She lost consciousness and could not be resuscitated despite the intervention of the emergency services.
She had come to ski on Sunday morning on this track located in the town of Prémanon with half a dozen friends.
