Jungfrau Zeitung – Line-up complete: “Fettes Brot” say goodbye

Belt Festival | March 3, 2023

The program of the main, tent and forest stage is complete! 25 other acts have been confirmed on the three stages and will play on Bern’s local mountain in July 2023, according to the organizers.

He is a multiple Grammy winner, is one of the most streamed artists on Spotify and is considered, among other things, as the “biggest breakout act latin music has seen in many years” – J Balvin will be performing at the Gurten Festival on Wednesday. On days like this, a Sunday, they play their last and only festival concert in Switzerland before disbanding: Fettes Brot say goodbye on the Gurten.

Another exclusivity awaits on Sunday: The Swiss Jazz Orchestra will be on stage together with Baze, Jaël, Seven, Tashan & Luca Hänni. You can hear songs by the singers, newly arranged and produced. Anyone who is now preparing for a pure big band concert is wrong – the audience can look forward to varied, fresh and modern interpretations, according to the press release.

They will provide the somewhat heavier sounds on Bern's local mountain: Beatsteaks!

Beatsteaks reliably deliver the finest punk rock concerts, Tom Odell enchants the tent stage with his phenomenon from a song “Another Love”, Lola Marsh provides intense, beautiful indie pop moments, yer self-titled disco milf Róisín Murphy brings us everyone to dance, and Pongo, the «Queen of Kuduro», ensures the perfect start to the festival on Wednesday.

The “locals” should not be missing

The music from Bern should not be missing in this round of announcements either: Troubas Kater are coming with their brand new album “Karma & Kaviar”, Tommy Vercetti & Dezmond Dez also do the honors and share the stage, and the musician, comedian and super immigrant of the nation Müslüm must of course not be missing.

Alewya combines a wide range of genres in a rousing live show, Andryy delivers the flawless dialect festival pop moment and The Snuts rocks, jumps and dances – the same certainly applies to Evelinn Trouble’s show. In addition, as the organizers write, there are of course other exciting acts (see list below).

The Campfire Stage, Soundgarden, Cosmodrome and Supermercado program will be announced in April and May.
