As announced, the 53rd edition of the Thun Castle Concerts will be performed from June 10th to 27th. And not only the organizers, but also the artists are looking forward to presenting the program in front of an audience. On May 1st, the Thun Castle Concerts open advance sales for the festival.

«Together with Claire Huangci, we are entering digital territory. Your piano recital will be offered as a hybrid concert format. In addition to the audience in the hall, enthusiasts can tune in to the concert from home, ”explains Managing Director Anja Loosli. The world-famous pianist plays in the Thun Culture and Congress Center and is accompanied by three cameras.

Pop-up concerts all over the city

In cooperation with the HKB and the student agency Kult, the Thun Castle Concerts organize pop-up concerts throughout the city, which will take place in unexpected places and unannounced for everyone. «We want to surprise those passing by with chamber music and look forward to many exciting encounters. The pop-up concerts are just as varied as the regular festival program and for all those who cannot get hold of the coveted tickets, a no less wonderful festival within the festival ”, says a delighted President Caroline Schüpbach-Brönnimann. The Thun Castle Concerts are in close contact with the City of Thun and adapt their plans if the epidemiological situation requires it.

At the moment fifty seats are unlocked per concert. With the Kulturticket, Thun Castle Concerts have the option of taking common protective measures such as distance rules and recording the necessary personal data into account when booking the tickets. “We are grateful that our cooperation partners have protection and hygiene concepts in place at most of the event locations, which makes our work a lot easier,” says Anja Loosli. “Nevertheless, there is still a lot of work to be done in the next month.”

Consumption at the concerts must be completely avoided this year, at the gastropartners Restaurant and Hotel Schloss Schadau and on the Schlossberg, guests can enjoy a concert menu before the concerts. A reservation is mandatory.
