The forward of the Golden State Warriors Juan Toscano, signed the best game for a Mexican in the NBA. The player scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists to leave behind the record made by his countryman Eduardo Nájera.
Nájera, who played 14 seasons in the league, had two 19-point games. The first was during the 2002 season playing for the Dallas Mavericks against the Los Angeles Clippers. Then 6 calendars later (2008), the Aztec power forward equaled his personal record playing for the Denver Nuggets in a game against the San Antonio Spurs.

Toscano’s production served to contribute to the Warriors’ 119-101 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. He stood out with 8 of 9 in field goals for an 88.9% effectiveness and 3 of 4 from the 3-point line. The win left Golden State 28-28 for ninth in the Western Conference.
In addition to his offensive stats, Toscano had a good night on the defensive end. The Mexican limited Kevin Love to just 5 points and did the same against Isaac Okoro, who scored 6 points.
