Morelia, Michoacán, February 4, 2023.- It is estimated that 40 percent of electronic and computer equipment that is no longer used in families is stored at home or in warehouses, when it can be reused by new people.
Therefore, Deputy Juan Carlos Barragán Vélez invites families to donate this equipment to the “Fuera Tiliches” and “Give a Hand to the Schools” programs, with which they will be able to provide material to educational institutions that lack the same.
“In the tours that we have made through the schools we have realized that many lack adequate computer equipment or some others do not even have it, so the invitation is to donate the one they no longer need and we will maintain them so that be reused,” he said.
It is estimated that the country generates 1,200,000 tons of electrical waste per year, of which half goes to landfills, but with an adequate process it can be reused.
