Frauke Kässbohrer from Bad Oldesloe will read from her book “A woman travels around the world – Australia, New Zealand” on August 21, 2022. The book gives a very personal account of the experiences of the author, who after her retirement began to travel to distant countries – alone and as a backpacker.

Frauke Kässbohrer, born in 1941, after graduating from high school, studied music and English to become a higher education teacher. She taught at various high schools in southern and northern Germany. She got into writing after her retirement. Frauke Kässbohrer has two children and two granddaughters and lives in Bad Oldesloe.

The book is commercially available: 86 pages, Edition Forsbach, 10.90 euros, ISBN 978-3-95904-160-7. Frauke Kässbohrer will read several sections on August 21, 2022, which impressively show how her travels went and what surprises she experienced along the way. She will also talk about her motivation for traveling and writing and will be available to answer questions from the participants.

Regarding the initiative of the BürgerStiftung, the chairman Dr. Michael Eckstein: “We want to make suggestions and inspiration possible for those who are interested. On the other hand, we want to give authors the chance to get in touch with people. With their readings, they can present their works to an interested audience.”

The author reading with Frauke Kässbohrer will take place on August 21, 2022, 1 to 2 p.m. in the Am Heimgarten school center, Reesenbüttler Redder 4-10, 22926 Ahrensburg. Participation is free, donations are welcome. Registration is not required.
