Journalist Yuri Dud has released a documentary about torture in Russian colonies, pre-trial detention centers and police departments

The nearly 2.5-hour video posted on Youtube includes an interview with the founder of the Committee Against Torture human rights project recognized by the foreign agent Igor Kalyapin, his colleagues, other human rights defenders and victims of torture. The journalist analyzes, together with the heroes of the picture, several specific resonant episodes of torture, including those with a fatal outcome.
This fall, another human rights project, Gulagu.net, began publishing an unprecedented, secret service video archive of thousands of prisoners tortured and raped across the country. The head of the Federal Penitentiary Service was dismissed, several criminal cases were initiated.
