In Athens, Greece, unknown criminals shot dead the famous Greek journalist Yorgos Karaivaz, who had been reporting on crime for many years. This was reported by the TV channel Open Friday, April 9th.
The incident is said to have occurred in the Alimos area at about 2:00 pm. The assassins rode a motorcycle and ambushed the reporter’s house. They knew exactly the journalist’s daily routine and probably watched him. As soon as Karaivaz returned home, the killers fired at least six bullets at him.
At the same time, according to other sources, 17 cartridges were found at the crime scene. A muffler may have been used, the channel notes.
The journalist was returning home after finishing work on a crime-related program on Star TV.

Earlier in Athens, unknown persons committed attack on journalist and publisher of the newspaper Makeleio Stefanos Chios. The victim was admitted to the local CAT hospital.
