Jorge Rodríguez reported 2 deaths and 167 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Venezuela # 28Jun

During the night of this Sunday, June 28, Jorge Rodríguez offered details on the situation of the COVID-19 cases in Venezuela. He reported that two deceased and 167 new positive cases were registered, which increases the total figure to 5,297 cases and 44 deceased.

The distribution of cases was 39 community and 128 imported.

Regarding the community, 22 were reported in the Capital District, 14 in Táchira, 1 in Miranda, 1 in Trujillo and 1 in Monagas.

While the imported ones, he detailed that 4 of them had contact with international travelers. 120 came from Colombia, 2 from Peru, 1 from Brazil and 1 from Ecuador.

In providing details about the two new deceased, he mentioned that the first it is a 48-year-old woman in the Maracaibo municipality of Zulia state. She was hypertensive, presented symptoms from June 8 and died on the morning of last 27 of this month.

The second case, also a woman, 72 years old, from El Paraíso in Caracas. She was a survivor of breast cancer, had symptoms on June 22, then died in the afternoon of June 27.

On the other hand, Rodríguez said that 31% of the cases in the country have recovered. 3,605 of them are active, 2,962 in hospitals, 593 in CDI and 46 in private clinics

Until this Sunday, June 28, Apure tops the list with 1,081 infected, 866 Zulia, 610 in Bolívar, 588 Táchira, 423 Miranda, 342 Capital District, 232 Aragua, 170 Nueva Esparta, 119 La Guaira, 120 Lara, 87 Barinas, 74 Sucre, 64 Trujillo, 62 Mérida, 53 Falcón, 36 Carabobo, 25 Anzoátegui, 22 Monagas, 20 Portuguesa, 16 Amazonas, 16 Yaracuy, 10 Delta Amacuro, 9 Cojedes, 6 Guárico and 4 Los Roques.
