“You Like Nothing”: Jorge Alís details Clash with Helhue Sukni on “The Divine Food”
Santiago, Chile - Argentine comedian Jorge alís has revealed the source of tension with Chilean lawyer Helhue Sukni during their recent appearance on the Chilean cooking competition show, “The Divine Food.” Alís detailed a series of uncomfortable interactions stemming from Sukni’s initial reaction to his cooking, and a scheduling conflict that further strained their dynamic.
“The Divine Food” is a long-running Chilean television program known for its rotating cast of celebrity guests, often sparking discussion-and sometimes, discord-among participants.
Alís explained that the program’s multi-day recording format is inherently stressful, requiring him to manage both cooking and guest hospitality while facing critiques of his dishes. He stated, “It was hard to record it. There are four intense days.” He added that the conflict with Sukni began on the first night and colored the remainder of their time together.
The initial friction arose over Alís’s first dish, a “Prieta,” which Sukni reportedly disliked. “The first dish I served was a Prieta… and she didn’t like the Prieta. He said he didn’t want to eat that like it was uncomfortable,” Alís recounted. His response, delivered in a characteristically Argentine manner, was, “The only thing I said was: ‘You like nothing.'”
Further complicating matters, Alís revealed he had to reschedule a recording day, disrupting Sukni’s preparations. ”She had everything organized, and I could not record one of the days. He told me that he had bothered him,” Alís said. Sukni reportedly expressed her frustration with the change, and Alís admitted, “It was hard for me to enjoy the other days.”
