Jon Moxley retains the AEW World Championship in Fight for the Fallen

During the broadcast of the special AEW Fight For The Fallen through TNT Drama Jox Moxley has retained the AEW World Championship after defeating Brian Cage in the main event of the night.

Moxley appeared in the ring wearing a shirt in tribute to the independent legend Danny Havoc who died in recent weeks, in addition to interrupting a Taz promo where he mocked the champion. The fight was initially dominated by Cage, who attacked before the bell rang.

To reverse the situation, Moxley directly attacked Cage’s newly operated arm, concentrating all the damage there. After fleeing several attacks from his rival, Moxley performed an Arm Breaker on Cage and, seeing the suffering of his client, Taz threw in the towel to release it definitively.

Cage, upset with the result, took his FTW Championship and hit Moxley. The lights suddenly went out and Darby Allin appeared to punch Cage in the face using his skateboard, ending the show by bumping his fists into Jon Moxley.

The current AEW champion will continue his reign that he has had so far 137 days. We recall that Moxley won the World Championship by beating Chris Jericho on February 29 at AEW Revolution.
