Some groups criticize prayer Habib Idrus about short life for Megawati Soekarnoputri and Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Maulid Nabi Muhammad event in Petamburan, Central Jakarta. FPI defends Habib Idrus.
“Lah, about injustice against FPI and HRS (FPI leader Habib Rizieq Syihab), where are the critics? Criticism is allowed, but it must be sane and fair, “said Deputy General Secretary of FPI, Aziz Yanuar, when contacted, Wednesday (11/18/2020).
According to Aziz, if several other groups were offended by Habib Idrus’s prayer, FPI also said they were offended when HRS was treated unfairly.
“We are also offended by HRS being treated unfairly. We do not ask him to be respected, (but) just treat him fairly,” he said.
It is known that in the Prophet’s birthday event held by Habib Rizieq Syihab in the Petamburan area, Jakarta, Saturday (11/14/2020), there was a cleric who prayed for President Joko Widodo and Ketum PDIP Megawati to have a short life. This then went viral on social media.
“We pray that Habib Rizieq Allah will extend his age. So lead God willing in Indonesia. Secondly, God shortened the lives of Megawati and Pak Jokowi. Al-Fatihah, “said Habib Idrus at the Maulid Nabi event held by Habib Rizieq, last Saturday (14/11).
Suddenly, this prayer was agreed upon by the people who attended the event. “Amen,” shouted the congregation at the location.
