About 2.5 years ago, Selena was promised her dream home: in the countryside, with enough space for her kids and a nice stay for her horses. Sounds nice, but that dream house is still a long way off.
After their contractor couldn’t finish the job due to an accident, they were left in a dilapidated state and Danny promised to finish the house with his own hands. But now, a few years later, the whole family sleeps in one bedroom, the kids are washed in a bucket and they don’t have a decent living room.
In short, Selena pulls on the emergency brake and really blames Danny for being in this mess right now.

But is it right that Danny should be blamed for that? After John confronts him with his participation in the program, he is initially stunned, but a little later he can’t wait to roll up his sleeves. “It can’t be like this anymore,” he admits to his wife. “But things are going in the right direction from now on.”
Still a little bit of the world because of what just happened to him, he starts his first task. “I’m really enjoying it now!” said Danny after job day one. “I’m really looking forward to it and everything is going well.” In the days that follow, he is delighted and his fellow handymen are enthusiastic about his efforts and the result.

And that enthusiasm raises questions. “He is cheerful and looking forward to it. I actually don’t understand what the problem is why we have to be here,” said the handymen. That question also arises from the fact that Danny himself indicates that he has indeed been doing odd jobs in recent years. Unlike Selena. The presenter immediately falls for the door. Because why are the stables for the horses finished and their kids washed in a bucket? When the shock has ebbed a bit, she understands well what John actually wants to say. “It does hurt a bit, but now I see it clearly. That’s not so nice.” The penny has dropped. It is now clear to both Selena and Danny that they both need to create more harmony in the family and – perhaps more importantly – that they should prioritize there rather than the horses. “If we had put our energy into other things, we would indeed not have been this way.”
