We recently learned that James Franco none other than the legendary Fidel Castro is going to play. there is actor John Leguizamo absolutely disagree with me. He also shows his displeasure on social media.
The Colombian-American Leguizamo, known for red Mill in John Wickdoesn’t think Franco can play Castro in the movie called Aline of Cuba. Franco has been criticized before, since the actor has been in the news more often in recent months because of his controversial theater school and the way he would have behaved.
Whitewashing
Leguizamo has another problem. He finds it especially scandalous that a white man is going to play the iconic Cuban leader. He will let you know on his Instagram page with the following message.
“How can this still happen?” begins Leguizamo. “So Hollywood not only excludes us, but now also steals our stories? We have to boycott this, because this is really f*cked up! I don’t have any problem with Franco myself, but he’s not Latino!“

The film’s producer, John Martinez O’Felan, snapped: “I’ve always looked up to John. He was one of the first Latino actors to make it in Hollywood in the early 90s. However, his commentary is culturally uneducated and nothing more than a blind attack without substance.“.
Thus O’Felan continues: “Where a person lives does not determine his bloodline or his genetics. I see the same confusion in many people in the Latino community. That’s why I think it’s a shame that actors who represent us say wrong things. That just makes it more divisive“.
