Johaug about the Sweden dominance: – They should not feel too safe

The winner Linn Svahn thinks they are allowed to hover a bit after the success.

– There has been some talk in the media that the Swedes are so “kaxiga”, but triple Swedish – then you are quite strong, said Svahn, according to Aftonbladet.

Many races left

It seems Therese Johaug, one of Saturday’s big favorites when it comes to walking 10 kilometers classic, is perfectly fine.

– Yes, they can be “kaxiga” for me. I want to focus on what I have to do on the track. The one who is best is at the top of the podium. They were strong today, but we have a strong team, and the season is long. We know a lot lives in us. They should not feel too safe, Johaug told NTB at Friday’s digital press conference.

– It is not entirely good that they take triple, but I hope we can beat them at a later date this winter. There are hopefully some races left. And it is a World Cup that is coming, Stenseth said.

Tough

On Saturday, there are, among others, two other Swedes Johaug and co. going into a duel against. Then the star duo Frida Karlsson and Ebba Andersson are on the starting line.

– I know it will be a tough match. There are two girls who ski fast and are in shape. I will try to lower my shoulders and go skiing. I want to go fast, but they are in shape. I will try to bite well from me, Johaug said.

The runner from Dalsbygda has shown good form in the start of the season. Last week, Johaug won both distance races at Beitostølen for the third year in a row.
