The 25-year-old soccer player was on Sunday at the home of her boyfriend’s relatives where they were preparing to make a barbecue on the third floor, but when she went downstairs, she crashed into a glass door that broke and fell It caused three cuts in the femoral artery in the left leg.

She was rushed to the Ardila Lülle Clinic, where she underwent surgery to save her life and leg.

After the intervention, she was admitted to an Intensive Care Unit where an improvement in her health was expected, but the leg did not respond as the doctors expected and she underwent surgery again to solve the situation and save her leg.

However, this Wednesday, as there was no improvement and to save the player’s life, the decision was made to amputate her leg, an approval that was signed by the mother of Johanis, who after the new surgery was taken back to intensive care.

“Johanis’ state of health is very delicate and the doctors did everything possible to save his leg,” said his mother-in-law, Janeth Hernández.

And added that: “they were very aware of her, but her leg did not receive the necessary irrigation and her life was in danger, so they decided that the only option was to amputate her leg to save her life, the mother signed the consent to The procedure”.

“For everyone it has been difficult. The ‘black girl’ the day of the accident told us that she was afraid, that she wanted to play again, “said Hernández.

The accident was so serious that, according to Johanis’ mother-in-law, the athlete lost three quarters of the blood that a human being has.

“She needs to be empowered. Obviously she does not know anything and we do not know how she will react when she wakes up, but for this process that she begins with recovery and acceptance, it will be difficult, with the help of God, her family and friends, she will get ahead, “he said. .

Janeth called on all santandereanos to continue donating blood for Johanis and thus help his recovery.
