Joe Biden will be president of the United States

Democratic candidate Joe Biden will sit in the White House for the next four years. This was definitely confirmed by his victory in Pennsylvania, which was announced by the AP agency and several American television stations. With 20 Pennsylvania voters, he has surpassed the 270 he needs to become president.

It can increase its final result even more. The media has not yet announced a winner in five other countries – Georgia, North Carolina, Nevada, Arizona and Alaska. Biden’s victory is still expected in at least two.

Biden, 77, has been involved in high politics since 1973, when he sat in the Senate. He ran for president of the United States as early as 1988, but resigned after three months. He ran for the second time in 2008, but again after a poor performance from the primary region he gave up the fight. Nevertheless, he eventually sat in the White House as Vice President Barack Obama.

Biden is a lifelong member of the Democratic Party. In August, he chose 56-year-old Kamala Harris as his vice president.

The results were awaited

The counting of this year’s elections was very turbulent. The polls were again wrong, mainly because of the so-called “shy voters” and the willingness of people to answer telephone questions from agencies. The initial results were more positive for defending President Trump, especially after winning a key state in Florida.

However, the 2020 elections were unprecedented in that they took place during a coronavirus pandemic. States had to adjust their rules for casting votes, a large part of the population decided to withdraw by correspondence. And it was this fact that complicated the monitoring of interim results.

Each state counted the votes in a different way. Some counted all at once, some began by counting the attendance votes and only then proceeded to the correspondence. Apparently, Republicans voted mainly in the polls, while Democrats by mail.

As a result, the situation became more dramatic as key states such as Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia began counting correspondence votes. The states where Trump originally won began to turn to Biden. It was not a hidden vote or a hoax, as Trump suggested, but only a census methodology.
