British writer JK Rowling, spiritual mother of Harry Potter, does not accept criticism from a Kennedy foundation and returns a high award she received. “No prize means so much that I no longer follow my conscience,” says Rowling. The disagreement has to do with Rowling’s negative statements about transgender people. She sticks to her views, despite growing criticism.
