The cruel fate of the mother, the disintegration of the family, the placement in a nursery school, the suicide attempt of the son. Actor Jiří Štěpnička (75) has done a lot over the years. And another wave of suffering has come in the last month. His wife Jana (†75) died and the heavy loss of his lifelong companion caused him to fall on the tracks in front of an oncoming tram.
But the pain of the face and the rest of the body is nothing compared to the pain of the soul. “I miss Jana every step of the way. We’ve known each other for almost sixty years. I don’t know what to do with it.” he complained to the Sunday Flash Chopping board.
