In the city of Uman, a special consolidated detachment of the State Emergency Service was deployed to ensure fire and industrial safety during the celebration of the Jewish New Year – Rosh Hashanah. About this on Thursday, September 2, reported press service of the State Emergency Service.

It is noted that the squad included rescuers from different districts of the Cherkasy region, as well as divers, pyrotechnics, doctors and employees of the department of radiation, chemical and biological protection.

“The strength of the combined detachment is 116 personnel. This group is reinforced with 29 units of special fire-fighting and rescue equipment,” the message says.

In places where festive events are held on the territory of the memorial complex, as well as in places of compact residence of pilgrims, the State Emergencies Service organized a watch of 10 stationary posts.

Recall that in the period from September 2 to 9 in Uman, Hasidim from all over the world will celebrate Rosh Hashanah, 5782 New Year according to the Jewish calendar. Expected that number of pilgrims this year there will be about 50 thousand Hasidim.

As reported, also on an enhanced mode of operation in Uman the police crossed… More than fifty law enforcement officers from different cities of Ukraine will ensure the safety of both local residents and pilgrims for two weeks.
