New York believed in it for a while and thought they had the solution by removing the appeal of offensive games from Adam Gase. A bet that lasted a half before collapsing … Contrary to fairy tales, pumpkins do not become carriages with the wave of a magic wand.
It was not until the very end of the match to see the Bills finally come off the score and win this Sunday. Buffalo will have done by scoring a 6th field goal (10-18) two minutes from the end and especially by seeing his defense intercept Sam Darnold (12/23, 120 yards, 2INT) on his last series.
A new pilot in the New York plane
Was Adam Gase right to leave the call for offensive games to his coordinator? We want to say yes after the first series of the Jets in this match: three drives and three entries in the opponent’s red zone.
However, everything is not yet perfect on this side. Indeed, New York is content twice with a field goal but still manages to score a touchdown by La’mical Perine (11 races, 39 yards, 1TD) on a series of 80 yards. Offensive “successes” that allow the Jets to lead 10-6 at halftime.

The only downside is this ugly interception launched by Sam Darnold which allowed the Bills to score a field goal just before half-time. And it’s a shame because the Jets had so far limited the Bills to a single field goal and forced Josh Allen (30/43, 307 yards) to a fumble in their own red zone.
The Jets remain on the take-off runway
Unfortunately for New York the upturn only lasts half time. On returning from the locker room, the franchise falls back into its old ways with a porous offensive line, a strategy and an uninspired Sam Darnold, a forgotten Perine… In short, nothing goes and the attack does not advance the match by chaining the punts .
Bills side is not much better offensively with several series reaching the red zone but Buffalo fails to conclude. But a minima the Bills are each time in a stomping position. Result? 4 more field goals and 1 missed. Enough to win 18-10 against a Jets team that definitely can’t find the fuel to take off this season.
