Producer Jerry Bruckheimer revealed updates on three highly​ anticipated sequels-Pirates of⁣ the ⁢Caribbean‍ 6, Top Gun ‍3, and National Treasure 3-during a ​recent interview, ‍signaling potential ⁤release timelines ‍for the beloved franchises. The​ disclosures, made on September 30, ⁢2025,​ offer fans the first concrete news regarding⁣ the projects in⁤ months, quelling speculation and reigniting excitement.

These sequels represent ⁤important intellectual property ‌for Walt⁢ Disney Studios, with the ⁢ Pirates ​of the Caribbean ​franchise alone grossing over $4.5 billion ​worldwide. Continued success hinges on delivering fresh narratives that honor the legacy of the​ original films while appealing to contemporary ‌audiences. Bruckheimer’s updates ⁤suggest⁣ active progress is underway for all three ‍projects,though timelines ⁣remain fluid.

Bruckheimer confirmed that a script for Pirates of the‍ Caribbean ‍6 is currently being worked on, with‌ no firm start date for production yet established. National treasure 3 is also in development, with Bruckheimer ​confirming that Nicolas ‍Cage is set ⁤to reprise his role as Benjamin Franklin Gates.​ He noted​ that‍ the script is being refined and that the team ⁢is ⁤aiming to begin production within ‌the next ‌year. “We’re working ⁢on the script, and Nic is very⁢ excited to do it,” Bruckheimer shared.
